ABOUT FESTIVAL
«KievFotoCom» is an annual International festival of photography. It includes main event (performed in autumn) which provides intensive program of projects by famous photographers from all over the world as well as free educational program for wide audience. It also includes individual photographic projects which are performed during all year.
Festival «KievFotoCom» was initiated in 2006. Since that time it is performed annually in autumn in Kiev, Ukraine.
The main aim of the Festival is to introduce Ukraine into context of modern visual art by acquainting wide audience with tendencies of world photography. In frame of festival the works of internationally renowned photographers are display, and all projects are followed by master-classes of photographers.
KievFotoCom is a curatorial project. Every year all participants are chosen by advisory council.
Master-classes
Main feature of the festival is series of master-classes which follow exhibitions by famous photographers in frame of main event. All classes are free for wide audience.
News
In 2008 main event of «KievFotoCom» is to be performed in Kiev in period of 8.10 – 9.11.2008.
Famous photographers from USA, Mexico, Netherlands, Chile, Poland, Lithuania, Russia and Ukraine are invited. In frame of main event photographic projects will be presented as well as free master-classes by authors for wide audience.
In 2008 the general topic for all exhibitions in frame of main event of «KievFotoCom» is considered to be “Threshold”.
